The cause is now known -- an encoding error on the part of the person
who sent the message to Ray's list. The MIME content boundary specified
in the header was different from the actual boundary within the
message. I should note that Steven Levine helped with the diagnosis.
What isn't known yet is what program that person used. The header
doesn't identify his mail program. I haven't had a chance to ask him.
