Here is the nslookup with the VoIP modem in place:

[R:\]nslookup www.google.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.1: Non-existent host/domain
*** Default servers are not available

[R:\]nslookup smtp.roadrunner.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.1: Non-existent host/domain
*** Default servers are not available

Note 1: SeaMonkey automatically comes up with Google as the home page on bootup so I tried it first.
Note 2: The DNS address reported by my router is: 192.168.15.4. That is what is gets from the VoIP
modem.

Now, the same test with the VoIP modem out (hang on this will take some time ):

[R:\]nslookup www.google.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.1: Non-existent host/domain
*** Default servers are not available

[R:\]nslookup smtp.roadrunner.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.1: Non-existent host/domain
*** Default servers are not available

Note 1: SeaMonkey still comes up with Google as the home page.

Note 2: The DNS address reported by my router is: 66.75.164.90. That is what is gets from the cable
modem. When I put the VoIP modem back in the loop the DNS address will return to 192.168.15.4. At
least is did when I ran this exercise earlier.

Note 3: This note will be sent with the VoIP modem out of the loop.

Sheridan

PS I haven't contacted Vonage about access into their modem until I am sure it is a problem.
