There may be a further wrinkle here. I bought an
Intel 2200BG card on Ebay. Before doing so, I skimmed
the VOICE article profiling it. IIRC, their install &
configure recipe said that you could have that
wireless card working, OR you could have sound
support, but NOT both . . . and that you _should have_
chosen NO Sound Card during your eCS install. If I
have that right, things are on track for proceeding
with that wireless card, and maybe I should just skip
Sound ? (I don't really plan on listening to MP3s on
this older laptop, or doing anything much with playing
video etc.)
