Subject: SCOUG-Help: 2nd. shot at MMOS2

Content Type: text/plain

When I installed RC-4 on the TP A21, I skipped over
the Sound install portion (chose "None") . . . because
-- for the time being -- I could not find the report
file I had made earlier using PCI, and so did not have
confirmation of the correct sound chip. I found the
file later on, and see that it is CS4610, or one of
its close relatives, according to PCI. That likely
means I should have selected the "Crystal Sound"
choice at this phase of the install.

I'm thinking this must have come up here before, but
how does one go about getting a 2nd. bite of the Sound
install apple ? Is it just a matter of finding the
right drivers on the install CD, and dropping them
into place ? (I can work out the needed syntax from a
prior W4 or eCS Config.Sys.) Or did someone create a
nice utility or .CMD file for accomplishing this ?

FWIW, I DO get clicks or beeps -- as in playing
SEAHAVEN TOWERS -- but that must be the default
speaker beep support that needs no particular driver.
