Yeah, 256MB is probably the sweet spot these days, in
terms of video performance (if you need it for certain
things) + affordability.
Someone on another list told me that there are some
so-called 128 or 256MB video cards on the market which
actually just borrow some or all of their RAM from
system memory ! If true, those should certainly be
avoided. I'd want to SEE those RAM chips physically
on the card, before forking over the green.
