None of this has been my experience. On RSJ I can format a new CD in about 5 to 10
seconds. If I am erasing it takes just a little longer (maybe a minute). On RSJ it also
takes about a minute to unattach a CD after burning. I have noticed, however, that
formatting on Windows does take considerable time (20 minutes or more).
I'm not an expert about burning CD's. However, I've never had to throw away CD's that
did not create properly. I use Bootable and RSJ to create an ECS bootable CD. Works
just right. Haven't made any musical CD's yet with OS/2 or ECS.
I believe that if you are making coasters, then you don't have the right software, or you
haven't set it up properly. From what I've heard, you can make alot of coasters, if you
do not have sufficient buffer space allocated for the burn.
