I can run UniMaint from my maintenance partition, and can view the help
from there. It says that you have to run a restore when the WPS is NOT
running, either from boot diskettes or via Alt-F1. I expected that. What
I found that is disturbing is a section that talks about setting a
parameter to create the restore command. Apparently that is *NOT* done
automatically, so I don't have a restore command. If I want to restore
one of the backups, I will have to do it manually. The general procedure
is described in the help text: 1) removal of the Desktop tree 2) erasing
the .ini files 3) unzipping the backup 4) unzipping the Desktop and .ini
file backups to the appropriate locations and 5) ensuring that the .ini
files are NOT R/O. I guess I will try that later when I have a block of
time.

Thanks for your suggestion to run UniMaint from the maintenance
partition. In my fog, I hadn't thought of that!
