When you boot from an archive do any of the files in that archive get
copied over their counterparts on the HDD? If not then booting from an
archive is merely a one tine boot to an alternate configuration of which
you could have have many. And in this case, since the archive is not on
the boot partition I don't even know what partition I am running from.
By selecting a particular archive I get a functional DT. This implies
that at that time there is a functional, compatable set of files loaded.
How do I get those files on to the HDD in such a way that they are
used during a normal boot?
Ray
