Hi Steven,

A recap:

First -- I found the file you sent, dde4.msg, and copied it as you
directed.

I ran cleanini /c /logdel /restart

It ran fine. It deleted 400 handles.

See attached cleanini log.

I tried running it a second time and got a sys3175:

Reading PM_Abstract: ObjectException=c0000005 occurred at EIP=16c03

I ran Unimaint:

Do all WPS, PM and File Handles
Nothing to Repair

Do all Individual INI File Repairs
PM_Spooler_Port/\Pipe\LPD0 - invalid key name
Do selected causes a dump
(prndrv -l does not list this)

Do Aggressive File Handle Repair (report)
Lists a lot of directories -- I see no DLL's

See attached repwrite.log

I ran checkini /c and got:
Desktop found (Handle is 0x3c48c)
Error Cannot Resolve the Handle to a Path.

I shutdown and reboot and ran cleanini again, but got the same sys3175.

I think I have covered everything you suggested.
Is there any point to running checkini /s /w again?
What else would you suggest at this point?

I hope I am not corrupting anything that will exceed my backup archives!

Thanks,
Sandy
