When I use dial up I use iLink.  Thru many ISPs I think all I have   
needed was the info below.  It has never been hard to get.

Domain Name Server (DNS) address  
Domain name  
POP password  
 
And for mail  
In and out mail servers; typically--but not necessarily--mail.domain   
name, smtp.domain name
