I have been using Injoy for years, but lately I hardly ever use it. So I
was surprised to find that using it this time to trouble shoot a problem,
I could not get a connection. Injoy does not give any error message, it
just refuses to dial. Even in terminal mode, it will not allow me to input
any data (like ATDT, for example).
I got around this problem by shutting down OS/2 Warp 4, FP 15, and
rebooting into eComStation, which is on another partition in the same
computer. Using the same instance of Injoy -- with same settings and same
modem -- it works perfectly. But go back to OS/2 Warp, and same problem.
I thought it might be the COM drivers, so I tried going back to the SIO
drivers, but that did not make any difference, so I put back the IBM
drivers.
I can't think of any changes to my computer, except I did install a new
OS/2 Kernel (the same one that eCS uses). That doesn't mean, of course,
that I haven't changed something and it has slipped my mind!
I sent Injoy an email, but so far they don't have any ideas.
The fax function in the modem works just fine, but I know that Faxworks
has its own drivers.
Any thoughts for troubleshooting this will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sandy
