With more experimenting, I have noticed that those characters occur when I
use terminal mode. When I let Injoy make the connection, it usually, but
not always, connects without incident.
I use terminal mode for inputting an 800 number and credit card
information. This always works with UCSD.EDU. I thought it might have to
do with the modem initialization strings, so I made a little script that I
pasted into the terminal window, but that didn't help any.
The problem is the same with the laptop modem and my external, desktop
modem.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions.
(I have another Injoy question, but I will start another thread for that).
Thanks,
Sandy
