That's a typo. I guess I could have renamed the file, but why would I?

If it were me, I would just unpack CDFS.IFS and copy it in place, by hand.
You are looking for a point fix.

FWIW, while not 100% foolproof, buildlevel better than dates and sizes for
identifying file versions.

Possibly. Given my ears, I only dabble in audio stuff, so I've never done
this myself.
