I have:

Signature: @#IBM:10.069#@ Device Manager Driver for CDROM
Vendor: IBM
Revision: 10.69
File Version: 10.69
Description: Device Manager Driver for CDROM

so I guess I'm okay with that one.

Actually, the newest IDEDASD package has OS2CDROM.DMD at
10.127. I keep downloading the IDEDASD's but never get
them installed. Now I have to find the time to read the
docs, double check against the DANI stuff I'm using for
any conflicts (guess I should update those too), and do
a test install on my maintenance partition. Lurkers,
get IDEDASD.EXE which is a self-extracting zip file at:
http://service.software.ibm.com/os2dd/free/idedasd.exe
_____

The CDFS.IFS available at IBM's Device Driver site is
*older* than the old one I'm using -- it's dated 05-19-97
(I just downloaded & unzipped it) with a Revision of 8.254
vs my 9.34 (yours is 14.56). I don't know where I got my
9.34 2-16-99 version. Maybe it's in
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/fixes/ddpak/xr_d002/
-- another project for all that free time I have.

Yes, you're right. Umm, good buddy, good pal, I've forgotten
the name of the utility which does the unpacking . . .
