Hmm. I kept a log file running and it shows 1-1/2 hours to settle down
to a one-minute error and an additional 15 minutes to get to "no local
clock correction necessary". Last year was similar.

By chance did you have a log file running? It's not a default, you have
to press the F11 key to start it. I'd like to compare your log to
mine. (Or did you stay up and watch it?)

Also, the TZ setting from CONFIG.SYS might have an impact. Here's mine:

SET TZ=PST8PDT,4,1,0,3600,10,-1,0,7200,3600

What does yours look like?

Well, I'm off to San Diego to do a little "local clock correction" on a
couple of in-laws. How _do_ they get themselves into these messes? I
could have used a nap before leaving but they've been calling all
night. (sigh)
