I've been noting the discussion Fox, Levine et al. re MB's and chips,
and don't want to deflect what appears to be a productive thread. But
I would like to ask a couple of related questions. I bought eCS with
SMP at WarpStock and received it last week--now trying to select HW that
will use it. I decided to go AMD, but dual processors supporting
Athlons had not been available until very recently. My questions:

1. What are the considerations, aside from cost, for Intel vs AMD, and
are any OS/2 specific?

2. What are the considerations (pros/cons) for slot vs. socket cpu's?

Thanks,

Ben Archer
