If I understand it correctly, LVM is just a replacement for Fdisk that
adds something to the master boot record. IBM has replaced Fdisk. So
yes, it will use LVM.

The server version of Back Again 2k supports JFS. I've been told that it
also work s with the workstation version, but isn't supported, but I
haven't confirmed that this is the case.
