Hi folks. This is a problem I brought up at the last meeting but I'm still
having difficulties. And actually, the problem is present on two eCS 1.2
machines - the symptoms are exactly the same on both (I did the installation
twice before I realized there was a problem). To recap, the problem became
evident after the installation of Lexmark printing utilities and ports called
MarkNet, and associated PCL and PostScript drivers. I installed the MarkNet
port that allows printing over LexLink (not TCP/IP) to an Optra S 1650
monochrome laser printer on my home network. The utilities allow the viewing
of settings and status (paper, toner, menus, front panel display, etc.) of the
printer from the computer no matter where the printer is. I installed both PCL
and Postscript drivers because sometimes, one driver works better than the
other.

So here's the symptom. Printing is fine except for (so far) two applications:
Firefox
2.0.0.16 and Acrobat Reader 4 both crash (absolutely disappears from the
screen, task list as if they had never been run) when indicating the intention
to print. Based on Steven's
recommendations, I checked the popuplog.os2 file but the number of crashes is
much greater than the number of entries (although there are a few) in the log
made during
the period so I don't think it's a reliable indicator of what's going on (a
german portion of the log is enclosed).

Following that, I tried to address Mozilla as recommended. I went to the
prefs.js file for my profile and deleted all lines pertaining to printing.
This did not change the behavior of the problem. Then, I downloaded the
prndrv.exe utility to see if there was any junk in my printer definitions.
Below is the output of the prndrv listing command (note, I also have a parallel
connected Xerox C20 on this machine). There is nothing obviously wrong or even
cluttered (to me) in the output.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help.

-Rocky
