OK, the way I read your answers is that you already have a successful PEER-to-PEER
LAN connection to the Internet via:
1. Ethernet Category 5 (or 5E) cable going from each computer to a router
2. From the router connects to cable modem
3. The cable modem connects to the Internet
4. All of the computers "see" the Internet and there's no problem there!
5. What you seem to be saying is that you DON'T HAVE "File and Print
Sharing" setup on each computer

But I'm a little puzzled, because you've said that each computer can see and use the
printer via your LAN. That suggests that you do have "File and Print Sharing" already
set up????

On your ECS machine do you have a folder on your desktop labelled "Local Network"?
If you do, you already have file and print sharing set up on that machine.
