For the last several Computer Shows at Pomona, some
recycling company has had a van in the parking lot.
They seem to accept most computer or electronics stuff
that was otherwise headed for the trash, at no charge.
Hopefully this will continue, as an alternative to
the facility you mentioned in OC (and one in the South
Bay ?).

Of course, this also presumes that the Pomona show
itself continues. I've noted that over the past year
or so, they have more than cut their show schedule in
half. They used to have 2-day weekend shows, about
every 3 - 4 weeks. Now they are almost all 1-day
weekend shows, about 6 or 7 to the calendar year.
(What this may say about the overall computer market,
I'm not entirely sure.)
