Now the plot thickens:
If exist OS2\BOOT\ALTF2ON.$$$
then
Neither ALTF-1, ALTF-3 nor ALTF-4 have any effect on boot process.
if not exist OS2\BOOT\ALTF2ON.$$$
then
ALTF-4 takes effect with these results:
Steps through loading until IFS=CDWFS.IFS
error: Cannot continue boot because an IFS= statement is missing from
config.sys...
ALT-1 ==> choose restore original configuration ==> 35 second delay ==>
immediately followed by RESTORING KEY FILES.
Can you make sense of this?
