That's a bit odd. I am assuming here that you formatted the diskette on
the drive that can not read the diskette. If so, it takes a pretty dirty
drive to cause read errors.

Sometimes just blowing compressed air into the slot is sufficient. Other
times you need one of those drive cleaning kits you can buy at most any
store than carries computer supplies. The kits includes cleaning solution
and a diskette shaped cleaining pad to hold the solution. Basically it
scrapes the oxide off the drive heads.
