FYI, I'm using BA2k server edition v4.1. I checked the bits on the
custom full backup I did last night and they were cleared as
expected.
I also want to mention that if I use the remote agent to backup
across the network then the bits are NOT cleared. This is due to a
programming error that CDS never fixed before they turned their
back on os/2. I only mention this because it demonstrates that at
least some of their software does not handle the clearing of the
bit correctly. This is certainly not the same as your case but I
thought it worth mentioning in case someone else is using the exact
same version and build as you are, they could verify results.
