I think I have a Realtek ALC650 built into the mb of
the Shuttle. Some sound files get clipped too short,
but usually not until near the end. Other sound files
don't seem to be much affected. Feels like a driver
thing. I don't play too many sound files (I'm talking
about sound effects here, mostly -- *not* MP3s), and
even less of them on the Dark Side, though my guess is
that the clipping would not occur there, unless there
is some defect in the files themselves.
