I'm not necessarily planning on anything bleeding
edge, and I think there are places to obtain MBs that
are 12 - 18 months from the most current, if so
desired. I'm seriously thinking of going AMD for the
next iteration of my tower. Maybe dual core 64. But,
for example, I'd rather have an AGP slot (already have
the video card I'd like to use) than the now mandatory
PCI-E. The one thing I intend to do is to stick with
a major one like ASUS or MSI.

Can't think of a reason why DOS wouldn't work on
yours, but I'm sure others can i.d. this issue.
