I can't give you a first-hand report on this (I use
DSL through a DSL modem), but relatives of mine use a
wireless router for their home office. They seem to
lose internet connectivity 2 or 3 times a week . . .
which I previously attributed to the nature of cable
modem service. It sorta feels like a synchronication
thing, between the associated devices. They have a
particular sequence of powering off their router,
cable modem, and PCs, and then restarting them, which
usually seems to correct the problem . . . unless
there is some prolonged service interruption from
their cable provider, which does happen occasionally.
