Even though previous partitions may have been deleted 
and returned to free space, Win or some Linux distro 
may have left a signature of some sort in the EBR or 
MBR ?  And this may be what is giving the eCS 
installer conniptions ?  I think this came up during 
Tony's recent demo, which began with a DFSEE refresher 
and walk-through.
