Well, my Dell has SATA drives. It came with one, and I added a second,
rather than try to shrink the Windows XP partition. I have my eCS
volume, a swap volume, and an HPFS data volume, plus a FAT32 data volume
on the second drive.
I had no problems getting things to work. I just started out with
Dani's driver DANIS506 driver. (I may have had to get a latest version,
but I cannot recall for certain, since that is now 15 months in the past.)
The fact I had no trouble kept me from replying sooner; I figured "I
can't help" wouldn't be much help. But, at least, you should know that
there are eCS systems using SATA among the SCOUG population.
