Sander,

I hope I've got this address right, as it's not the
ICAS one, and I know you don't tend to follow the
SCOUG List. I'm sending it there also, just in case.

I'm running Moz 1.7.12 now in boot partitions x 2 for
both eCS and W2K. Technically speaking, the problem
I'm seeing is under the latter, but I think this is
more of a Moz issue. I'm using several extensions
quite successfully in eCS, but where I just upgraded
from 1.7.11 to 1.7.12 in W2K, there is a situation
where no extensions can be installed. Moz immediately
responds "Done" when I try to load the .XPI, but there
is / are no dialog box(es), and nothing at all
actually happens.

If it works in the same version # on one platform,
you'd think it would do the same on the other.
Likewise for anything that happened to be broken.

Google was not particularly my friend here. I found
On again | Off again bugtracker entries, across
various versions, citing a "Can't Install Extensions"
situation. I don't think it is listed for 1.7.12, but
I could post one of the other citations. There was
also some not very helpful forum advice. They kept
mentioning an Options branch under Tools, but I don't
see this on either platform. (Maybe those messages
were referring to a Mac version ?)

I don't see where it could be a Settings thing: I've
made the Settings the same on both platforms. At this
point, I'm about to give up and just do an Uninstall |
Reinstall.

Do you recognize what I may be missing here ?
