I don't know whether or not the device responds to pings, although it
probably does.

The mode should not affect browser access.

We just need to get the IP addresses straightened out and you should be
able to access the AP via the browser.

You can always use iptrace to verify that the ip addresses in the outbound
packets are what they should be.
