I have had 2 of these cards go bad on me.  But I bought 5 on eBay,

If you are pinching dimes, nickles, etc, why not just buy off eBay?  
 Prices might be up a little this time of year but if you wait and  
are in no hurry (stuff I buy often takes close to 2 weeks to get)  
then you can save $$$$.  
 
There were plenty of G400's there last time I checked.
