Sandy,
I don't know what's wrong, but I thought that showing my LVM information
might help.

My older PC was built by Indelible Blue, and I ordered it with two hard
drives (20GB each), and Win2K Pro and OS/2 (Warp 4, FP12). I added eCS
1.1 later.
LVM shows the following information:
For Drive 1:
Volume Name Partition Name Status File System Size(MB) Type
[BOOTMANAGER] Startable Boot Manager 7 Primary
WIN 2000 WIN 2000 Bootable NTFS 2000 Primary
WARP 4 O: WARP 4 Bootable HPFS-H 2000 Primary
FAT D: FAT FAT16 2000 Logical
NTFS1 E: NTFS1 NTFS 11562 Logical
eCS C: eCS Bootable HPFS 2000 Logical

Drive 2:
                                                             7
HPFS2 F: HPFS2 HPFS 17555 Logical
HPFSSWAP G: HPFSSWAP HPFS 1004 Logical
                  NTFSPAGE NTFS 1004 Logical

(I stuck the drive letter in where LVM has assigned one.)

I also have a Dell which I ordered with one 80GB hard drive, and WinXP
Home. Naturally, it came with the entire drive given to WinXP, except
for a recovery partition. So, rather than mess up that drive, I bought
a second 120GB SATA drive, and added eCS 1.2.

LVM looks a bit different, but has essentially the same info:
Drive 1:
Size (MB) File System Type Notes
                 47 (Type DE) Primary
W: 72,708 NTFS Primary Bootable "WinXP"
              3,529 CP/M Primary
                  7 Boot Manager Primary Startable
Drive 2:
C: 3,074 HPFS Primary Bootable "eCS 1.2"
Q: 2,053 HPFS Logical Advanced / LVM "Swap"
D: 2,055 FAT32 Logical "Fat"
E: 20,479 unformatted Logical Advanced / LVM "NTFS"
F: 20,479 HPFS Logical Advanced / LVM "HPFS Data"
             69,092 None Free Space
(I added the Volume / Partition Name at the end if not already there.)

I haven't had to actually build or change anything with LVM since
February of this year, so I don't know what you might have forgotten to
do. I hope something here is helpful.
Colin
