Gary,  
I had icon creep also, except that my icons moved slightly downward.  As   
I recall, the solution has something to do with the eCenter.  I have   
mine at the bottom of my desktop; do you have yours at the top?  
 
I found a discussion (which I started) about the phenomenon on the eCS   
News Server, news.ecomstation.nl, newsgroup eComStation.support.install,   
using the search term "Sliding Desktop Icons".  
 
There is a setting in eCenter properties called "Reduce Desktop Area",   
which on both my eCS 1.1 and my eCS 1.2 system is NOT checked.  See if   
that works for you.
