You are really advanced. I have only eCS 1.2. :-)

This must be the archive built into eWorkPlace. Check the Archives
settings page. I believe it will show to percentage changed.

I checked the XWorkPlace code that calculates the change percentage. I
don't see anything filesystem special. On possibility is that some is
created lots of dead handles. The checking logic basically is triggering
size change rather than number of changes.
