Here is a copy of a post I sent on 9/03 for enabling LVM on OS/2 Warp 4.

Hi Steven,

I edited my maintenance partition to recognize my JFS hard drive. Here is
a summary of the files I added.

From eCS, I added the following files to the appropriate directories:

lvm.msg
lvm.rep
lvmh.msg
lvm.dll

os2dasd.dmd
os2lvm.dmd

jfs.ifs
ifs.msg
ifs.sym
ifschk32.exe
jfsh.msg
ujfs.dll

I then added the following statements to config.sys (see attached).

ifs=\os2\jfs.ifs /lw:5,20,4 /cache 4096
basedev=os2dasd.dmd
basedev=os2lvm.dmd

That's it.

I had also added:
unicode.sys
and the line
device=\os2\unicode.sys

but I got an error message on boot:
"Unicode file not found, etc"

So I remmed it out and it works fine.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sandy
