I'm not sure. We'd have to ask Veit what the relationship is between the
two documents.

Since the PCCard and the OHCI appear to be visible and powered on and have
resources, I guess the next thing to do is to try to access the modem.

IIRC, it's com5, so:

move com5

should get something other than an error message if it is working.

If you have updated usbmon.ids, usbmon should report the modem too.
