Hello,

I'm looking for volunteers to test on their computers a VisProREXX program that I am
developing. To run this program you need the REXX Library functions and REXXEA
(REXXEA found on the OS/2 BBS site or on www.riverbbs.net/files/output/44.Html)

In summary, the program enables you to search your drives for desired files, or desired
directories. It has the following features:

1. Search for desired files or desired directories, per your choice

2. Use wild card symbols, such as "*.* ", in your search

3. Confine the search to a selected directory. Recursively search that
directory. That is, search it and all of its subdirectories. Alternatively, deselect recursive
search (search the selected directory, only, no subdirectories)

4. As an alternative to item #3, above, search one or more entire drives
sequencially (this choice recursively searches all the directories on the selected
drive(s))

5. If desired, confine the search (that is, further define the search) by using
the following file or directory criteria:
A. File size (set maximum and minimum size limits)
B. File, or directory, create/save dates (set maximum
and minimum date limits)
C. File, or directory, create/save times (set maximum and
minimum time limits)
D. File, or directory, attributes (set, or unset, any
combination of the "ADHRS" attributes)

6. After the search has been completed sort the results, ascending or
decending, by any of the following sort criteria:
A. Date
B. Time
C. File Size
D. Filename (Directory name)
E. File (Directory) path

7. After the search has been completed select desired files (directories),
resulting from the search, for any of the following other services:
A. Launch each file into its correct application (DOES
NOT WORK YET)
B. Search for a text string in the file(s) (WORKS OK, BUT
COULD BE BETTER)
C. Print the file(s) (DOES NOT WORK YET)
D. Get the file(s) extended attribute(s) (WORKS GREAT)
E. Copy the selected SYSFILETREE results (date, time,
attibutes and file (directory) path) to the clipboard (WORKS GREAT)

I'm interested in HOW WELL the program works on other computers. Are there any
visual problems with the various windows? Does the program open and set up
correctly? How is the search speed? Are there any search result problems? Etc.

I need to document the program before having it tested. I want to write a complete set of
instructions as an HTML file. That will take me several days. However, I will greately
apreciate any and all volunteers! Thank you.
HCM
