I always assume that if someone does not state what they have done to
solve a problem, they have done nothing specific. Rather than make
assumptions, I start at the most basic level. If you want to avoid this,
you need to provide more concrete information in your initial post.

>I found this confusing, and I was hoping for a little hand holding, but
>that was too much to expect.

Not at all, but you need to ask the questions you really want answered, as
you are now doing.

>I have the Run! utility, but I couldn't figure out just how to use that
>either.

run!050.txt says:

USAGE - if you want to start xyz.exe from MyApp:
 - copy run!.exe to xyz's directory
 - rename it to xyz!.exe
 - update MyApp to have it start xyz!.exe

OPTIONS - insert these options between the '!' and the '.exe';
they are not case-sensitive. For example: xyz!pl.exe
 - General:
L - set LIBPATHSTRICT (requires Warp 4.0 Fixpack 13(?) or later)
N - do not close VIO windows when the program terminates
C - use this if command-line parameters aren't passed to the app

 - Session Type:
   P - PM V - VIO window F - Full screen D - Default
overrides the default type for this program (if possible)

So following the above directiions, to use run! to run mozilla using
LIBPATHSTRICT, copy run!.exe to your mozilla bin directory and name it:

  mozilla!t.exe

Create a program object that invokes

  mozilla!t.exe

When you invoke this program object, mozilla!t.exe will run and eventually
invoke mozilla. Of course, you can always run mozilla!t from the command
line too.

Do the same thing for firebird and thunderbird and you should be able to
run them all at the same time.

That said, there's a cost to using LIBPATHSTRICT, so you want to use when
two apps will not run at the same time without it. As noted on Steve's
page, some of the Innotek apps are not yet compatible with LIBPATHSTRICT,
so if you need to use these plugins you can not use LIBPATHSTRICT. Keep
in mind that LIBPATHSTRICT is a tool for resolving problems. Apps based
on the same code base do not need LIBPATHSTRICT.

HTH,

Steven
