Yes, but if this onslaught of junk keeps bringing down the system, or  
threatening to bring it down, then obviously we must do *something* about  
it.  
 
The vast majority of the email that comes to me (and possibly to everyone,  
these days) happens to be Spam.  I seldom have to inspect any of it: what it  
is is immediately clear, just from the Title or the From field.  If either  
of these are blank, that's a dead giveaway as well.  I could zap a million  
of these things, and maybe just kill one or two legit items inadvertently.
