Gary,
Think of volumes as "Drives". You get up to 26 volumes, corresponding to the 26 letters
of the alphabet. You can give your volumes descriptive names, but you have to label
each one as a single letter of the alphabet
I believe that HPFS volumes do not have to be single partitioned, if they are LVM
volumes
