I have some new activity in my FFST* files according to
the date-time stamps:

Directory of G:\OS2\SYSTEM\RAS
5-08-04 11:30p 283839 0 FF000812.DMP
5-08-04 11:31p 270324 0 FF000813.DMP
5-08-04 11:32p 247510 0 FF000814.DMP
5-04-99 9:53a 64 0 FFSTCFG.FFS
5-09-04 6:42a 6708 0 FFSTHDR.FFS

What programs do I use to review the contents and determine
what is being reported?

I did run

OS/2 System -> Problem Determination Tools -> FFST Setup

(apparently FFSTCONF.EXE) which didn't show anything --
the displayed table is empty. The W4FP10 online help
only mentions FFSTCONF and FFSTPCT without discussing
any analyzation techniques.

The \OS2\ directory contains these FF* files:

[G:\OS2]dir ff*
Directory of G:\OS2
8-09-96 1:48a 23108 49 ffst.exe
2-05-99 4:25p 68669 49 ffstconf.exe
7-15-96 9:59a 2692 0 ffstconf.ico
5-09-04 6:42a 79 0 ffsthere.out
2-05-99 4:25p 69583 49 ffstpct.exe

and the contents of ffsthere.out is unusual

[G:\OS2]type ffsthere.out
05/09/04 06:42:56 E:\W4M\src\sysmgt\ffst\gui\ffdmp.c 515 var1: 267012 var2: 0

because my E: drive doesn't show any \W4M\ directory (unless
it's hidden or system; I can't remember how to display
hidden/system directories such as NOWHERE). I ran a

DIR \FFDMP* /S

across all drives and found no such file.

What procedure should I follow to analyze these new
\OS2\SYSTEM\RAS\FF* files?

- Peter
