There doesn't appear to be a switch for the sound drive to use another
IRQ, so I changed the network card setting to use "NO IRQ" and ... I'm
sending this message on the machine! (to close the loop. I'm attaching the
new lantran.log)
However, help says:
"If the card IRQ does not work properly because of problems in your BIOS,
you can force the driver to fall back to poll the card using the mainboard
timer (1). This will slow down the network troughput dramaticly. Only use
it as an expedient."
Of course, I'd prefer not to slow down network throughput, so any
suggestions as to what I should do from here?
Also E-center now no longer has the link for setting adapters and
protocols under "network". does anyone know off the top of their head how
to restore the original E-center?
