We need some clarity, or some differential diagnosis, of whether the  
problem is the eCS 1.1 installer, vs a problem with the eCS code.  
It may be the installer is somehow being faked out and reporting as  
impossible something which is possible.  Is this plausible and what  
might be a workaround?
