Have you checked to see if you can flash your bios? Most motherboards for
the past 5 years or so have flash bios, and the vendors have patched bugs
like size limitations on interpreting disks. If not flash, or if flash and
no update available, you're stuck with whatever your system supports.
Otherwise you can fix it fairly easily.
