I just acquired a new digital camera that uses compact flash memory. I
took a few pictures, removed the card from the camera, and installed it
into my SanDisk USB card reader. I was able to copy the 6 files to disk OK.
When I put the CF card back into the camera, however, I get an error.
The manual suggests that I format the card. I suspect that it is because
eCS (LVM?) added the two . SF files to the card.
Is there any way to keep LVM or whatever from writing to this card?
Thanks!
