Hi Jordan,
Good question. The truth is that since I started using OS/2 (back with
version 2.1 beta), I have never used DOS. It just sits on my machine in a
small partition and is used for emergencies, like when System Commander
gets screwed by by Boot Manager, and I just boot into DOS and reenable SC.
So I have never had the occasion to upgrade from DOS 5.0.
The last time I really used it was in 1998 when I used a dial-in to the
internet so I could upgrade my Quicken 98. I haven't looked back since.
Now I am thinking of switching to eCS at some future date, and that
probably means reinstalling my apps. So I am doing a little research now
on another machine just to see how formidable a task that would be. So
far, it is not pretty.
Hope that answers your question.
Sandy
