I was going to use it for backing up a number of computers.
We have his and hers desktop and laptop computers. I am currently backing up
to another (fifth) machine over the LAN which has a 2gb limit on any file
transferred across the LAN so that the backup has to be done in pieces. One
problem is when you need to restore the os you first need to install the os and
networking to do the restore. It will be much easier to restore from a
firewire/USB device than a network device and also not have the file size
limitation.
