I suspect you mean the OS2LDR update. If you are not getting freezes, you
don't need it.

It's working as of now.

Your laptop PCCard setup is:

BASEDEV=PCMCIA.SYS /P
BASEDEV=IBM2SS14.SYS
BASEDEV=AUTODRV2.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VPCMCIA.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCMSSDIF.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCM2SRAM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\FLSH2MTD.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCM2FLSH.SYS
BASEDEV=PCM2ATA.ADD /S:2 /!DM /NOBEEP

You should be able to REM out one or more of:

DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCMSSDIF.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCM2SRAM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\FLSH2MTD.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\PCM2FLSH.SYS
BASEDEV=PCM2ATA.ADD /S:2 /!DM /NOBEEP

if you don't have an PCCard memory devices or disk devices. PCM2ATA is
creating the nonoperational drive icons you are seeing.

Looking at your USB setup, the laptop is:

BASEDEV=USBUHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBD.SYS /REQ:USBUHCD$,USBOHCD$,USBEHCD$
BASEDEV=USBHID.SYS
BASEDEV=USBMSD.ADD
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBKBD.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBMOUSE.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBPRT.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBRESMG.SYS
BASEDEV=USBCDROM.ADD

while the desktop is:

BASEDEV=USBEHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBOHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBUHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBHID.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBKBD.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBMOUSE.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBPRT.SYS
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\USBRESMG.SYS
BASEDEV=USBMSD.ADD
BASEDEV=USBCDROM.ADD

First, of all make sure use have a driver loaded for each controller. I
doubt you only have one. Second, change the laptop USBD.SYS statement to
match the desktop. This is recommended.

Send along an updated config.sys once you get to another sticking point.

HTH,

Steven
