That statement leads me to believe that you are using both the RSJ and Daniela's
drivers at the same time. You are not supposed to do that.
Daniela's drivers provide you a way to use your read/write unit as a read-only unit and
not have to attach it, using RSJ. That is, using Daniela's drivers you will see your unit as
S:\ drive (say) and you can read all the files on it, using an ECS-OS/2 drive object, or a
file manager. However, you will not be able to write to it without "attaching" it, using the
"RSJ CD-Writer Control" application. When you attach it, using RSJ, you then also get a
"Z" drive (say) object. The S:\ and Z:\ drives read exactly the same (same files, same
folders), but you can write only to Z:\
Please pardon me, if I'm going over stuff that you already know!
Of course you can use your unit without Daniela's drivers, just as RSJ has originally
intended. And if you do, you will always have to "attach", using RSJ.
Now, the real point here is that you cannot (should not) use both sets of drivers at the
same time. Either you go strictly with the RSJ set and don't use the DANIAPATI.FLT
driver, or you use DANIAPATI.FLT and REM out the RSJIDECD.FLT and
LOCKCDR.FLT drivers. In addition to all that, there is a specific way you list the drivers
in the CONFIG.SYS, if you are going with Daniela's drivers. I had to go to an RSJ news
group to get guidance on that. Daniela's documentation does not (fully) specify how
you list the drivers.
