Are you running eCS !?
If YES, then I have very little experience with =

because I do use MCP 4.52 !

BTW: Do you have the following entry in your CONFIG.SYS ?

SET SCFINDUTILITY=3DC:\OS2\APPS\PMSEEK.EXE

With this entry it is much easier to search for specific files =

or specific files contents in specific partitions or all partitions ;-)

Well, this is very interesting.

On that particular computer, there is no:

x:\os2\archives
os2.key
x:\os2\boot\altf1mid.scr

I do have scenter.cfg (in the os2\dll directory).

Also, I now see that if I wait long enough, about 10 minutes, the Back
Desktop eventually does work.
